Sean McMasters

I’ve been a part of this church for over 30 years. I started following Jesus when I was 21yrs old and thankfully found this church soon after. When I walked in I found people who genuinely wanted to follow Jesus. They were open about their faults, but were sincere in their desire to follow Christ. I was looking for a genuine expression of a community centered on Jesus and found it. It’s still one of my favorite churches of all time!

I’ve been married to my wife Linda, who I met in this church, for 26yrs. We have 3 kids who are 22, 20, and 18. Linda attended Simpson and now teaches in Redding, which she is very passionate about. Our kids all attended public school and are now pursuing higher education, which makes for some interesting conversations at the dinner table. We love to camp, hike, & play or watch soccer.

I studied music at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and stayed in SLO for 5yrs where I was the worship pastor at the Vineyard Church in SLO. After moving back to Redding I got my M.A. in Theology from Simpson and another Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Simpson as well. I also work part time as aLicensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

Caroll Flanery

Hi Everyone!!!

My name is Caroll Flanery, and I am a member of the board for Redding Vineyard Church. It is my heart’s desire to serve my community and the members of my church!

I was born into a military family, and as such have travelled around the United States and around the world. My family settled in Southern California. In 1976, I moved to Northern California, where I attended CSU, Chico and ultimately graduated in 1979 with a B.A. degree in Child Development. This is also where I met my husband, Mike, and were married in 1980. We have three grown children together.

For the past 45 years, I have worked in the public school system as a Teacher’s Aide. I retired in February 2025, and have since been involved in local ministries. It is the joy of my heart to serve Jesus by helping people with practical needs such as meal preparation for the sick and laundry for low income and homeless people in our area. I love being an active member of Redding Vineyard Church! Being part of this Christ centered group is truly a blessing!

Tony Stoltzfus

For 25 years, Tony Stoltzfus has been writing, coaching and training Christian coaches. He’s helped launch multiple coaching organizations, served in church oversight, and developed curriculum used around the world. The latest of his 21 books is Heaven: Experience the Extraordinary—a journey of imagination into an extradimensional heaven where you’ll meet a God who is far, far better than you ever imagined.

Robin Frohlich

It is my honor to serve on the board of the Vineyard City Church. I love the local church and have been blessed to attend Vineyard churches since the early 1990s. 

I was raised in upstate New York and attended college in Williamsburg, Virginia, where I began my faith journey in earnest. After college, I entered full-time ministry, working with Athletes in Action Women’s Soccer and later reaching the 10/40 window with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). I met my husband, Kevin, during a YWAM training school in Harpenden, England, in 1995. We have been married for thirty years have three wonderful, grown children. 

We served as missionaries in Beirut, Lebanon in the late nineties, and in Penang, Malaysia, from 2010-2019. I have also had the incredible privilege of serving on many short-term mission trips, traveling to thirty-eight different countries (so far)! These experiences have given me a deep love for the nations, different cultures, and people. 

Currently, I work full-time as the women’s assistant soccer coach at Simpson University. I am also a certified spiritual director, having completed my training through Sustainable Faith.  I love creating spaces where people can deepen their relationship with God, journeying alongside them in their faith walk, and spending time in prayer.

I am so thankful for Vineyard City Church, and all that God is doing in our midst. 

Matt Williams

I’ve been part of Vineyard City Church since 2012. My wife, Kylie, actually started attending before I did, and it wasn’t long before I joined her. What drew me in—and what has kept me here all these years—is pretty simple: the people. I found a community of kind, genuine people who cared about me and my family, and Vineyard City Church became home.

I grew up in a Christian home and have been around the church for most of my life. Over the years at Vineyard, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in a number of ways. I’ve been a member of the church board for about 10 years and have also served as a worship leader. Music has always been a big part of my life, and depending on what’s needed, you might find me singing or playing guitar, drums, or bass.

Kylie and I have been married for 14 years, and we have five kids—four daughters and one son. All five have been part of Vineyard with us over the years, although two have now moved out of the house and one lives out of town. Our family has grown up alongside this church community, which is one of the things that makes it so meaningful to me.

Outside of church, I’ve worked as a school counselor at U-Prep for 18 years. When I’m not working or serving at church, I enjoy spending time with my family, getting out on the lake, playing music, and barbecuing.

There are a lot of things I appreciate about Vineyard City Church, but when it comes down to it, my favorite thing about this church is the people. It’s a community that has cared for me and my family for more than a decade, and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to serve it.
